Joey Powers joined the Unity team as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the summer of 2026. Joey is a junior pursuing his B.S. in Computer Engineering at UMass Amherst. He works closely with the facilitation team to troubleshoot user workflows, configure Linux compute environments, and maintain clear documentation for the cluster. His technical interests include hardware security, digital signal processing, and high-performance computing. In his free time, Joey enjoys playing the viola, rock climbing, and playing chess.
